After a leisure weekend getaway at a nearby hill station, I was ready to learn more at the magazine this week. Monday began with an article by ELLE’s beauty writer- Tatiana, which led to a very inspiring conversation among us.
Further, my employer- the fashion editor at ELLE gave me the opportunity to write a review article for the magazine’s website. I managed to deliver the best of my creative words for the iPhone XR review on the same day which was supported by visuals provided by the editor.
Having delivered efficiently, this article opened more pages for me to take over. I was offered 2 trends pages and a whole feature on sustainability that would be supported by interviews of Indian and international designers in the June issue. Parallel to this I worked on the 2 hotel review articles with the features editor who provided me with word count and fact files.
With so much on my fingers, I also offered to look into the visa application process for my editor for a shoot in France next week. Having done my own visa process for UK, it was an easy task for me and it helped reduced the work on the editor’s hand. He was able uses this time to work on the May issue cover with the art team. I also coordinated with a PR agency to resolve a damaged shoe returns issue from the May features shoot. This helped me work on my communication skills while I managed to convince the brand to write it off.
The week ended with a pool of opportunities ahead of me to showcase my individual angle and ability and I look forward to deliver only the best of all on the same.
