Week 1 and 2 of every month are super demanding for the fashion team. This is the one where we focus on producing the cover and cover story, the feature and editorial shoot.
I started on Monday with an unexpected plan where we were to shoot the digital cover for JULY this weekend. The fashion assistant and I began to source for the same. Wednesday served as a leisure day which helped me catch up with my energy as it was a state declared holiday. Having split the in-store sourcing locations, we ran across the entire city till the end of Friday.
I arrived at the shoot set on Saturday and met with the fashion director- Malini Banerji who works from the Delhi office. It was a great weekend as I got the opportunity to meet with an A list Bollywood star who was very respectful and fun to work with. I helped pack all outfits, shoes and jewellery sourced from over 30 brands. This time I knew about all the brands without having to look at the tag because of my involvement in the complete process. Looking forward to working on the returns and couriers in Monday.
NOTE TO SELF: Go to the shoots and be involved even if you just got a tooth removed with 3 stitches (True story). Be involved, love your job and cherish it to make the best of it.
